Service Transformation
-- two words that represent exactly what many of you have been engaged
in since 'service excellence' became the familiar battle cry of
the '80s. And yet, while the changing times present surges in technological
possibilities, budget cuts abound. Now, the mantra has become the
more sophisticated 'customer relationship management'. Whatever
it's called, the outcome rings true: once we've attracted our students
to our schools, we are prepared to be innovative to retain them.
How do we, as enrolment managers, retention specialists, recruiters,
and systems people - in fact, anyone who interacts with students
on our campuses - find that balance between identifying and exceeding
the needs of our clients, being competitive, while remaining sensitive
to issues of fiscal responsibility?
The 2004 ARUCC
conference, scheduled for June 27 to 30th in Ottawa seeks to address
these issues. Come to the conference to profile your best practices
in transforming your student services. Come, also, to pick up trade
secrets. It promises to be an opportunity to network with the best
of the best in our business; don't miss this chance to share ideas
with colleagues from across Canada.
We look forward
to seeing you in Ottawa in June 2004!
