Continuing Studies Acceptance for Transfer Credit
Over the years Athabasca University has gone back and forth on the awarding of transfer credit for continuing education courses. The argument that we receive from the Continuing studies divisions is that these courses are of the same rigour as regular courses and they have the same hours of instruction, evaluation and instructor credentials so they should be considered for transfer credit. Often these courses do not have a credit value assigned to them. We are hoping that you could share your practices, policies or insights into the acceptance of continuing studies courses.
